Formation of Company by Renato Pascual, Founding Member of Filipino origin and Hussain Naqvi, Founding Member and UK national.

1997 2001

Successfully represented Samsung in the Middle East in Satellite Set Top Box technology and launched MediaCom brand of satellite receivers.

Promoted The Filipino Channel (TFC) on Free to Air basis in the Middle East

2001 2003

Started TFC in the Middle East on Pay TV basis and introduced over 50,000 customers in UAE and Qatar for TFC.

2003 2007

Introduced Karaoke sing along technology and became the number one player in this area by 2007 while running the satellite and the TFC businesses successfully

2007 2014

Started MediaCom karaoke in Philippines and became the number two player in quality and after sales service of karaoke products with distributors like Odyssey, Automatic, Avid, SM etc.

2014 2015

Introduced the best karaoke player in the world called the MCI 6200TW Premium for home and party use and launched it successfully in the Philippines and Middle East. Currently, it is the no. 1 selling karaoke machine in the world with unique features like digital song recording, HDMI video and audio etc.

Following our formation in 1997 as a satellite and Pay TV provider, we have always been dedicated to serving various communities around the world. We started working with the Gulf’s burgeoning Filipino community by providing the TFC (The Filipino Channel), alongside other entertainment packages in the region for a decade which helped cement MCI’s reputation in the satellite market.

 

By the turn of the millennium, MediaCom became a name synonymous with reliability in the satellite hardware and pay television sectors.

 

Fifteen years ago, taking inspiration from our largest customer base, we decided to give people power through singing.

 

We have been pioneers in developing a market for Filipinos and South Asians to enjoy their favourite classic and modern tracks, a growing library aimed at children to help bolster their confidence and a range of religious content catering to different communities.

 

This journey has been one of growth and education. Singing has been shown time and again to have positive health benefits as well as being a fun, addictive and bonding activity among friends and family.

 

The stage is set for us to further evolve karaoke, smartening it in the process. Our new MCI 6200TW Premium is the world’s first digitally smart Karaoke device, combining the best of the web, music and communication.

 

We are also encouraging young talent to post their entries in our one of a kind online singing competition, The Breakthrough Project. The primary mediums for this competition are our website and social media and already thousands of people have shown interest in it. Our main aim is to see that young and deserving talents get the chance to release their own labels, in the near future.
